Celebrating 250 years of Self-Governance

JULY 2026 | PENNSYLVANIA • OHIO • MICHIGAN

In the days following America’s 250th birthday, a group of retired judges, lawyers, and civic leaders will board a bus in Pittsburgh and embark on a week-long journey through diverse communities in the heartland — meeting Americans where they are to talk about why the Rule of Law matters to the American way of life.

THE ROUTE

NOT A LECTURE TOUR

These judges will not be partisan actors seeking electoral advantage. They are trusted public servants dedicated to the Rule of Law — listening, not lecturing, and sharing common values with their fellow Americans in diners, courthouse squares, and community centers across the heartland.

INSPIRED BY POLAND | TOUR DE KONSTYTUCJA

When Poland’s ruling party began dismantling judicial independence, courageous judges left their benches and went to the people — traveling to towns and villages, explaining in plain language why an independent judiciary is the foundation of a free society.
